HOMELAND premiere @ the 25th Critics’ Week of the Venice Film Festival 2010

The world premiere of Syllas Tzoumerkas’ first full-length film Homeland will be held at the 67tth Venice International Film Festival taking place between the 1-11 of September 2010. This year’s Biennale has chosen Homeland to be presented in the program of the International Film Critics’ Week (Settimana Internazionale della Critica).

Every year the International Film Critics’ Week chooses and presents 7 first time director’s full-length films from all over the world. The film will take part in the competition for the first time director’s full-length film award Lion of the Future (Premio Venezia Opera Prima) – Luigi de Laurentiis Award” and the “International Film Critics’ Week – Regione del Veneto Award”.

Homeland is the story of a country and a family in free fall. Three generations of a family (the 50’s generation, the one growing up during the restoration of Democracy in Greece in the 70’s, and the generation of today) clash irrevocably over an adoption they decided to make 20 years ago
